My name is Jake Carlos Banawa and I was originally from Manila, Philippines and currently living in Phoenix, Arizona, the United States of America.
Playing experience
I earned my Chess Fédération Internationale des Échecs (FIDE) or World Chess Federation Master title in the year 2011. My peak FIDE chess rating is 2356. My highest United States Chess Federation (USCF) chess rating is 2472.
Teaching experience
I recognize the potential in each one of my students. With my customizable approach, I’ve seen my Phoenix area students’ self-esteem and skill-set consistently rise. I earned an approximately $61,000 worth of chess scholarship at Webster University, a private University in Saint Louis, Missouri with the best collegiate chess program in the World, to complete my Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Master’s degree in Forensic Accounting.
