Teaching experience

I am grandmaster, licensed FIDE trainer with more then 20 years of coaching experience. I was second to Ante Brkic when he was third on World U12 championship (Oropesa del mar 2000.) I trained Jadranko Plenca who was one of the Croatian most talented players. Six years ago he was second on European championship U18 (Mamaia 2017.) I colaborated with grandmasters: Ivan Saric, Ante Brkic, Ognjen Cvitan, Sasa Martinovic...Many of my students were champions of Croatia in youth categories: Jadranko Plenca, Mario Muskardin, Zrinka Deur Saric, Borna Cotic, Mato Mican, Ivano Mocic... FM Nils Richter was German U18 champion (2021.), Matija Sakic was 4 time Swedish youth champion. I also had success as a coach of female players. I trained Kristina Saric, Zrinka Deur Saric, Ana Berke... My wife Kristina Saric was champion of Croatia (Zagreb 2017) under my guidance.

Other experiences

My professional skills are exclusively related to chess.

Best skills

I am very good as a second/coach for the players between 2100-2300. My specialty is preparation for the game. First, I am looking for weaknesses of opponent player. Later I am trying to show my student how to take advantage of these weaknesses.

Teaching methodology

When I have new student: first, together we analize deeply his games in the last few years. After I discover his flaws/weaknesses, I am trying to fix it on the long run. I often use literature of the famous chess autors: Dvoretsky, Capablanca, Aagard, Delchev, Baburin, Yusupov... depend what is the theme of training (opening, middlegame, tactics...).
