My name is Luis Alfredo Grados, I live in Trujillo-Peru and . I have published the creativity book in Spanish titled "Mente Recargada" and I have also designed an original artistic work and applied art of Mochica chess pieces, with icons of the Mochica culture patented by indecopi in 2004. I participated in leadership courses in Panama and Santa Marta- Colombia 2018. I had the anecdote of beating him in a simultaneous chess exhibition to the then world chess champion Gary Kasparov held at the engineering university in Lima - Peru in 1993 with a Volga gambit

I have managed to be one of the best youth players at the national level and be ranked 21st in the absolute category of my country according to the FPA. I have managed to be senior runner-up in a Latin American Cup 2024.I have reached a maximum FIDE rating of 2280 in 2004.

I work as a FIDE Instructor in the following schools: Claretiano, Sagrado Corazon and medical college de Trujillo for 33 years. I also worked at the private university of the north, Ramon Castilla school, Victor Arana academy and Dental school of Peru, La Libertad region 2013.
As a chess coach I was in Pan American and South American games such as Buenos Aires - Argentina 1994, Asunción - Paraguay 1995, ,Florianópolis-P R Brazil 1996, Matinhos-PR Brasil 1999,Durán - Ecuador 2014 ,San José- Costa Rica 2015, and Santa Cruz -Bolivia 2022.

Carry out high-performance training in the Huanchaco resort, Trujillo, Cajamarca and Moche city, and organize open and closed tournaments and championships.
