Hi ! I am a French Candiate Master, playing OTB for more than 30 years. I was born in Romania and I learned chess the Soviet way when I was five. I moved to France when I was eleven. Besides chess, I have studied Philosophy (MA) and Litterature in Sorbonne University, Paris.

Je joue depuis plus de trente ans en tournoi. J'ai appris les échecs à cinq ans, en Roumanie, avant de venir en France. J'ai un DEA de Philosophie de l'Université Paris IV Panthéon-Sorbonne.

I was 3rd in France U14, et U16. I was part of the French junior team at the Las Palmas pupils Olympiad in 1995. I played a lot of opens and won prizes on a regular basis.

J'ai fini troisième de France chez les Benjamins et les Minimes. J'ai fait partie de l'équipe de France qui est allée aux Olympiades scolaires de 1995, à Las Palmas. J'ai joué beaucoup d'opens en reportant régulièrement des prix.

I trained and taught adults for 10 years in the CLUB 608 Paris, one of the mais chess clubs in the French capital. From 2016 till 2018, I taught full time pupils and adults for the Corsican Chess League.

J'ai enseigné les échecs pendant 10 au Club 608 de Paris. J'ai été formateur à plein temps de 2016 à 2018 pour la Ligue Corse des Echecs.

I taught Philosophy and French to High school pupils from 2006 till 2014. I translated several books and created a small publishing house, les Editions Carmin.

I have an East-European approach : chess is a science, an art and a sport! I am specialized in Open games, I know a lot about the Spanish Opening, the Sicilian Defence and the Slav. I love and practice dynamic, attacking chess, but with a sound undestanding of the pawn structures and plans.

Je comprend bien les jeux ouverts et les principes stratégiques qui permettent d'évaluer une position et de faire un plan. Je connais bien la Sicilienne, l'Espagnole et la Slave.

Usually, I explain plans and ideas using illustrative games. I eventually prepare specific png files with opening lines to know by heart for those who have a specific target: a championship or a special opponent .

D'habitude, je m'appuie sur des parties de références pour expliquer des concepts clés et des idées fondamentales. Je peux aussi préparer des lignes théoriques spécifiques sous forme de PNG, pour des objectifs particuliers: championnats jeunes, adversaire particulier.
