"Alas poor "inset name", I knew him"
But yes, correct, he was the king's jester.

> but Antonio takes a loan from the banker Shylock to help his friend Basanio court his beloved.
Correct
(Bonus points if you can tell, why he needed to take a loan)

> Present ? I thought he cames for the surrender of the English at Agincourt,
Incorrect (True he appears in the story both before and after Agincourt)

this is the whole "comedy" of the scene, Hamlet, crown prince, asking the meaning of life from a bone, which moreover was that of someone good at amusing the king. Hamlet is overcome with grief after Ophelia's death.

we can interpret this in a lot of maneer : as if it is a request to know whether or not he is worthy to die, in a certain Christian ideal, where he asks it of the soul of the blessed, who is already dead. therefore like humility in the face of death after the loss of a loved one.

Or as well as as a form of arrogance, taking advantage of the meeting with the gravediggers to recover a skull (thus desecrating a grave!) and renouncing religion, since the death of his father then of Ophelia would have made him progressively "crazy". and ungodly.

or simply as a moment of personal doubt and philosophy.

For bonus points: uh I think it was because his ships carrying his wealth weren’t gonna be back for a month or few and he had to take a loan in the meanwhile
