Did I just hacked Lichess?

I had 2 lichess windows opened. One in my profile and one looking for a game on KOTH. I then went to the main page on the window which was on my profile, after that I saw my challenge lol!!

I clicked on it and I actually could play against myself. I dont know how would you guys consider it as I didnt gain any rating from the match lol, maybe a funny bug? Anyways I thought I would report it for the developers to know is possible to play against yourself.

No, you can play yourself. I have done it before. Challenge yourself to a game and open a tab and paste the link. It works!

As for ratings:
1. You played KOTH in casual, so there was no way to gain points.
2. Even if it was rated, you would lose points from yourself, and take those points, increase your rating, and bring yourself back up.

If you play against yourself, the game automatically switches to casual mode, even if the seek / challenge was rated.

This isn't a bug this has been around for ages

I can play myself I already knew of this.

I recommend playing with yourself now and then, it's a good exercise. (note that it will always be a casual encounter)
