Games only go to 300 moves max?

I tried to import a game that has 362 moves but after I imported it, it only went to move 300 and got declared a draw. The computer analysis stopped at move 150. Is this to save on computer resources? I know it's rare that games are that long, but there are some, especially computer chess games, that go for hundreds of moves. Maybe a new limit of 500 moves could be set with a computer analysis of 200 moves.
Those are limits to reduce misuse of lichess resources.
Lichess does not allow 300+ move games because they usually become absolutely meaningless to analyze and are just two players fooling around.

They're not meaningless if they're computer chess games that often go for long number of moves. Computer chess is chess too, and I don't dismiss a game simply because it's "too long".

Well, certainly 300+ moves games are just boring and meaningless.
Chess gets simplified way faster with captures.
Am average game lasts 40 moves.
If a game even lasts more than 200 moves, then certainly there have been many dubious moves on either side.
If it stretches past 300, then both are just playing with rules of draw and making random moves.
Irrespective of human games or computer games.

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Who cares if the average game is 40 moves? I've seen a lot of interesting games that last less than half that and games that go well beyond 100 moves. Computer games don't make "random moves" regardless of how long the game is. The position might be drawn, but each player still has to be careful about what move to execute.
I agree with FireWorks. Just because a game is exceptionally long this doesn't mean that it isn't interesting. It might be a bad example, but the longest match in a tournament up to this day is 269 moves, and i don't think that they make silly moves in a tournament... I also agree that the max moves of a game on Lichess should be raised at least a bit, let's say 400 moves for a game and 200 for analysis.

@FireWorks btw what is that game that you wanted to import?
So,
The longest chess game lasts 362 moves actually.

it's capped at 300 for not getting the system overloaded i guess
