In my opinion, I agree with you. But Capablanca made fewer blunders and more "best move"s during his career than Kasparov. Those criteria definitely stand for something.

Carlsen often makes intentional sub-optimal moves in order to get out of draw-friendly positions. This analysis does not take that into account. He is also not the only player to have done this.
