sandwiches

Hello, I was just wondering whats your favorite sandwich? I personally myself like one with roastbeef, horse radish, veggies, onions, tomatoes and hot sauce with garlic =)

Thanks in advance.
That sounds yummy. (Love me some roast beef and spicy mustard or horse radish w/ onions and spinach.)

Personally, my favorite sandwich is a Reuben.

For that matter, it doesn't get better than freshly steamed, then blanched and a quick pickle of fresh cabbage instead of sauerkraut ... maybe add some sharp cheddar and/or fontina cheese (maybe in place of swiss) ... and yummy.
Great thread!
I am currently on a job overseas I don't like; when I get home in a months time, I plan to spend half a day putting together a giant smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich :-). It goes a bit like this:

except I will bake a more regular sandwich bun and will add a few pickled jalapenos.

(@MrCharles I didn't know that was a called a Reuben sandwich; I think I had it once and really enjoyed it but didn't know what it was called, thanks for posting the recipe!)
This thread deserves to be revisited in a month or so time with some images :-).
I'll take my BLT with extra (thick) Bacon, sub spinach for lettuce, and wasabi mayo. (Now we're cookin' w/ kerosene.)
Oh, man, I've never had smoked salmon + cream cheese on a (seed-topped) bagel, but that article looks so good ... same back atcha @Dixie2011 -- thanks for the link and idea.

That article, and your mods also bring to mind other great additions to go between sandwich bread:

Capers,
Wax Peppers (pickled jalapenos),
Pimentos

So much yummy / good stuff. Yes, let's please keep this going.

I would very much enjoy hearing about sandwich recipes from around the world. (For example, I was watching DDD, "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" the other night, and [Guy] Fieri was visiting a Syrian Pizza joint in one of the Carolinas, and their food looked so yummy; including a sandwich idea I've not got on my mind.)
I've been making this one lately. Don't be fooled by it's simplicity, it's a winner:

*Dave's Killer Bread
*Applewood smoked salami
*Grass-fed sharp cheddar (New Zealand)
*Raw spinach
*16 drops of Annie's Organic Yellow Mustard.

That's it.
