HOW TO IMPROVE FASTER ?

@B-Rabbit:

"...as fast as possible"

This doesn't work.

I wonder why this "...as fast as possible" stuff is asked so often.

Let us compare: When i worked as a musician i learned by heart a solo repertoire of about 3h of music and a chamber music repertoire of 3h.

I needed many years.

A friend of mine (a bass player) has a repertoire of about 500 (!) pieces.

He needed decades to come so far.

Good things need a while.

And as sunflower93 mentioned: "...study the pawn structures"

Further reading about pawn structures:

"Zoom 001 Zero Hour for Operative Chess Opening Models" by Bent Larsen

"Chess Structures" by Mauricio Flores Rios

Hard stuff but it doesn't hurt - or just a little bit.

Best regards, Karl (still a patzer)

Well, I said ''as fast as possible'' because in everything you want to learn , there are faster ways to do it , like studying the key ideas and get straight to the point. Studying the most important things and staying dedicated is how you learn ''as fast as possible''.
Anyways , thanks for your feedback !
You have to absorb the material through practical experience, you have to take responsibility for your own moves. Just "seeing" and just "reading" won't help much. Getting the feeling takes you years, chess is more practical skill than theory. Don't be in a hurry my friend.
